You want to be President someday, but for now will run for Senator
Saying you have our best interest in mind; want to make us all a winner
Your only desire in life is to just be elected and this nation to serve
But then you gain the office and seem to lose your nerve
You say you will fight for us, all of us, the citizens of this great land
You say you are one of us, that you identify, that you can understand
Then once you are elected, your agenda is no longer the same
You start working for yourself and others; you don’ know our name
You say we should never worry when you vote for all this change
You say just wait, there’s no harm, it’s all part of the game
Then we watch as you trade and swap and give our rights away
But all you can do is say don’t worry, it will be for a brighter day
You say we need to protect ourselves against those who would do us harm
Then you show up at some official function with a terrorist at your arm
You tell us not to worry; this is just a part of the difficult negotiation
But come on guy, a fool could see that you’re selling out our nation
You say we are a sorry lot, arrogant, too proud, and not worthy of appreciation
Then you bow down and kiss the hand of terrorists who bring harm to our nation
We are getting very weary, tired of the lies, just kind of fed up with your list
It becoming more and more apparent that you’re nothing but a Communist.
