Many moons ago~

When we were just starting out~

The wolf met us~

As we hunted about.

There was the more timid wolves~

Which stayed away~

Than others learned to share~

A human’s way.

Slowly they evolved to be loyal breeds~

Varying in sizes~

With shapes that continued to concede.

Soon they were called dogs~

Our friends in life~

Giving each other love~

Helps both to live healthier lives.

Different breeds evolved intellectually~

Words they understand most definitely~

Our friends the dog were meant to be~

Companions for all time incurably.

A Nice, Ode to the blessing of Dogs to Man. I live in isolation, save for my 3 dogs and varying dumped dogs I find, on the long dirt road to my home out here. I find them one of Gods great blessings in so many ways, voted up across the board.

Very nice, Lisa....I have a partiality to wolves I suppose because of my wonderful malamute companions. Always love the pictures of them. They are so hauntingly beautiful. Well done!
