Waking poetry by Ashley Pentycofe
It’s been a while
Sense my mind had driven me wild
So I open the doors and let it dive on in
It swings with joy from vine to vine swinging with precision
Avoiding pathetic rhymes
It climbs thought the dust and cobwebs
Waking Imagination and Creation out of their deep sleep
Now they consume me
With each passing minute a new animal awakes
