Walking On Fire And Levitating

Walking On Fire And Levitating

He was thumping his Bible,

And the choir said Amen,

But they were looking at me,

To my chagrin.

Said I was going to hell,

And I found it quite odd,

That he received his data,

Straight from God.

Well I’ve been to hell,

There’s little doubt,

And sometimes I feel,

Like I’m still climbing out.

I don’t drink or smoke,

And there’s no romance,

And as most would tell you,

I don’t even dance.

But I’ve done some yoga,

And I’ve meditated.

I once walked on fire,

But that’s when I levitated.

I take the Golden Rule seriously,

I’m a humanitarian,

And I strive to be,

A good vegetarian.

I won’t vote for liars,

Cause I know what I’ll get,

And I don’t believe anything,

From a television set.

But I’ll carry on,

And seek the best teachers,

And I may not consult,

With priests or preachers.

If you think that politics,

Might take you to heaven,

I guess I’ll have to plead,

Proverbs 26:11.

Your as good as ever my friend, its been awhile, I'm not in the hubs much as I've pulled all my work out of here except for my tribute to a falling soldier we all knew as Dusty and you know who I mean. This was a wonderful rhyme and sure covered a lot of ground. You never fail to hit the nail on the head my friend, loved it. Peace and blessings I send to you this eve.

Fools will be like dogs returning to their own vomit, right?

That last verse was brilliant.

The whole poem was wonderful ,as it has to be, because you always write exceptional work.

Love you, man.
