Starvation abounds....that's just politics.......

Nations within nations ......did you know that.....
a people..... an isolated existance
Navajo ...Cherokee ....Cheyenne ....
Lakota....boundaries of resistance

But ......from where do the lines begin
from within or without
Cultures of indifference .....while
children starve throughout

Some of the third world .......right
here among us all
Who's to blame ......come ....let's
line up against the wall

Why ......
Why do children starve in America ?
Why......
Why do they die of desease thats cureable?

And more bounderies within appalachia
inner cities .......America needs revision
Perhaps the cause of all of this are
the boundaries within.....hearts in division

In Washington the senate .....congress dines on lobster ....caviar .....shrimp and ego......The President flies in a new Air Force One.........polished to a glaring reflection.......and we allow them to spend billions with a B on an exploration of mars......on Exxon oil company subsidies......and on nation building for people that hate us with a deadly passion...... I wonder constantly ....who is working for who

The steady decline of our economic status is going to continue for years. So true & powerfully written in this Hub. I so fear for future generations. The rich continue to thrive and the poor are loosing jobs, homes and being forced to look elsewhere for their own prosperity. Great job in putting this message out - Voted up!

This is so very true. Even most of the church missions are sent overseas. Yes, they need help. And so do the hungry and needy in our own neighborhood.

This is a great and truthful Hub!

ahorseback - Here in the US there is no excuse for anyone starving, but the problem is common throughout the world, with occasional excuses apparent.

I'm so sad what we did to the Native Americans,up rooting their very livihoods! Stealing their lands and confining them to the least resourceful lands. When I think of the March of Tears, I can't even imagine. Here in Michigan we drove out the Pottawatomie and the Ottawa, forcing them to live in southern unknown regions to them! You have written a stirring piece with your talent and now I'm ranting! Take care dear friend

Fossillady, Thank you , Now , you do fossils right? Are you into native studies? :-}

No, but I have read about it in the past and it's actually the Trail of Tears not the March of Tears. Many died of exhaustion and starvation during the exodus.

Yes Fossillady , and that is only one of many marches, Navajo , Cheyenne , Nes peirce , soo many of them driven away or around , or just down. Sad......:-]
