Welcome to Winter

Welcome to Winter

The snow fell softly
dusting the rooftops
and blanketing the land

Each tiny flake
spiraling through the air
like a twirling ballerina

The snowmen
they dance with the
snow pixies in the moonlight

The pond glistens
with a glaze of ice
the skaters, they glide and slide with delight

Strolling along
under the stars feels magical
the sky sparkles and lights our way
A shiny new coat of white
brightens the night

Welcome to winter

Very nice, cre8ivOne. I can't wait for the first big snowfall in DC. Voted up and beautiful.

Thanks Janshares!

I wrote this poem, just before Christmas when we were getting the most beautiful snowfall.

Hi Dawn.

First thanks for the follow.

This is a super poem for winter fans. Skiing and snowmen are a delight for young and sportie people. Unfortunatley with my problem the cold and the damp just get into my bones, then I'm no good to anyone.

Take care and have a good weekend.

Thanks much Ghaelach,

I can empathize about the snow. I live in the climate that produces snow, I don't always love it, but there is something quite magical about the first couple of snowfalls. :)

Thanks for sharing. I live in a tropical country and I only see snow in movies. :(
