What Do You Mean We Have To Clean

Yes it is time again to do the impossible

To clean where no man has gone before

You have to move things all around

Then you become embarrased when the dust flies

Oh my god I didn't think it would be this dusty

Are we done yet ?

Why are we saving this ?

I knew that subject was going to come up

I was hoping later than sooner

Just because

That makes no sense

Well some day we might need it

I don't think so and away it goes

You'll see just you wait when I go looking for it

Of course she is right again

I will be waiting till hell freezes over before I use it

It is the point of it

(I know she is thinking ) Make room for my new sewing machine

I am going to need a place

So I can sew some nice things for the house

No room anywhere else we live in a small house

The object in question was an old T.V. that still worked

Plus the old v.c.r. and v.c.r. tapes that we seen once I think

Now everything can be d.v.r 'd or found on the computer

O.K. I have to choose my battles

I have a long day still to go

She said how about these old magazines ?

I still like them it is a colllection

Of what things you don't read

I might enjoy reading them some day

Ooops I said the wrong word there off to the Salvation Army if they will take them

Then there is the pile of wood I was going to build ?

What ?

Yah fast thinking I will let you keep it

But in three weeks if not used for something its going out too

So now we have to look over the dreaded boxes of all the things we use to have but have no room for now

I am in luck the first few are things I could careless about

Kitchen stuff and old set of dishes

Then she found the mugs

drinking mugs that hold memories of my childhood

When I was young I use to get my mother and father mugs from everywhere I went

Now I got handed down the priceless collection when my mother got tired of it taking up space in her cabnets

Well I stopped to chat and I had a quick lunch break

The boss is back and I better get there first

Or she will be throwing out my favorite jacket or old tools that have no use for anymore

Then there is my record collection and some old cassette tapes

I will have to draw the line somewhere or the cellar wil be empty and bare

Where can I hide those old board games that we have no time to play

My stack of old sports equipment that I have to dust off every day

Talk soon she found my baseball card collection that hasn't seen daylight in years

Maybe I will try to get rid of her Christmas ornament collection she collected ever since she was little

So cleaning is more an art of give and take

Don't think of refinishing that old burea or table top

It is too much work and who is going to use it anyway
