What I Want

Source

What do I want?

To be your everything

To rock your world

To make you the center of my universe

To make you love me

What do I fear?

You’ll need me

You’ll revolve your life around me

You’ll make me your happiness

You’ll love me

What do I want?

To get what I fear

We need courage of course, sacrifice, unconditional love... Thanks RB, nice one.

The first two stanzas could be the words of people in a obsessive type relationship... then you curve ball me and make it into something totally different. I loved it.

You gotta love this...We have to be careful what we wish for, don't we, Randy? Great poem!

Hi Candie, where have you been hiding? I think I've found it.

Shamel thanks for reading I'm glad you liked it. I don't completely agree with you though. You make love sound like work. Courage to lead with an open heart I suppose, but I don't plan on sacrificing this time around at all. Love unconditionally? I found children are the only ones I can love unconditionally. Grownups can always screw up a good loving relationship. :)

Hi Enigmatic! Just a poem about the waring factions of my being. So glad you enjoyed it.

So glad ftgmom!

If you believe in manifesting like I do Dohn, you have to be especially careful. lol. You could be innocently lusting after something and have it show up on your doorstep.

RB, you made it sound gloomy! Ok, how about: love is to love responsibly, passionately, and without expecting anything in return? As for me, I just love spontaneously.

It is always the most trivial of desires that confuses and consumes forever longing. Well done, dear Randy.

May you live as long as you want, and may you never want as long as you live. Isn't it funny how we are always drawn most to what we fear?~~MFB III

Funny peculiar or funny ha ha? Both if we can laugh at ourselves I suppose, which I can. Thanks for stopping by MFB.
