What Makes Fairy tales Last
What Makes Fairy Tales Last?
His eyes which once sparked flames grew dim to me
His smile which dazzled became hard to see
And in moments it was clear to believe
The boy who promised never to grow up was going to leave
His laugh carried a hallow echo through my heart
Lying next to each other we were worlds apart
And I Wendy, so badly wanted to relive
The magic Peter was so reluctant to give
No amount of Pixie dust could awaken his soul
As I kissed his lips I tried to make him whole
But he had no time for that, he had to grow
His destructive path began to toll
So here I stand, in front of the boy from another land
Trying so hard to understand, what makes a fairytale last.
