What Time Will Never Give
Arthur Gulumian
What time has done is given me a moment—
A moment to look at the world reflect
From your eyes that held my reckoning.
It has given me the moment to clasp your
Abandoning embrace, and a lifetime to be
Awakened by the gentle breath of your morning breeze.
It has given me a mist that bears both
A warmth and a hint of shiver—
It has given me a smile that is never abandoned.
It has given me thought that never relieves—
For I think of no other than you my canary.
But there is one thing that time will never give—
Just one moment longer to look into the beauty in the eyes you hold,
One moment longer to feel my lips upon yours,
And one moment longer to whisper I love you.
How could I ever forget you?
