When first a heart in reflection sees,
a likened soul of substance seized,
in open arms are drawn to be,
as one in melding love.
When words no need and thoughts succeed,
in touch released our fears all freed,
when a glance is all to nurture seeds,
and inspire life within.
What special flight a soul alight,
in pensive pose of knowing sight,
when minds are still in hearts delight,
of pleasures unrealised.
It is then we find our hearts sublime,
entwined in eternal mirrored rhyme,
of siren songs and endless time,
our love the pinnacle.
Of being together and sharing this,
beyond the dream and clouds of mist,
forever blessed and mortal kissed,
we two the mountain peak.
When first we met I knew your face,
a mirror of my dreams in grace,
and I so lost but hope embraced,
have found my peace of mind.
When first a heart can know its truth,
and finds its half beyond its youth,
a perfect end in life to find,
in love together in joy divine.
