When Love Knocks at Your Door
When Love knocks at your door, welcome Her.
She may come like a chalice of despair,
Lovingly burning the dross within, to gift
The boon of sweet serenity.
Or appear as the timbre of an enchanting flute,
Resonating within the inner sanctum of the Soul.
Ultimately, She sings melodies in the heavens, and,
While spreading Her tears upon the naked Earth,
This sweet Lover dances with a deep and shimmering glow,
In the sacred Temple of the Heart.
When Love knocks at your door, welcome Him.
He is an uncaged bird which must be free,
For only by soaring to the firmament,
Can He play the chords of your inner music,
Awaken you to the dawn of Paradise,
And whistle the sweet sounds of the humming bird,
Within thy Soul…
Sweet Love
When the Mother cries within, welcome Her.
She joyfully bleeds with out-stretched hands,
As she enfolds us in our darkest chasm.
While on Her shoulder purposefully carries,
The dead elephants of our darkness-mind.
Sweet Melody of the Cosmos, enfolding
Myriads of soothing gifts, wrapped in
A million sunset-rainbows of delight,
Come into our hearts and grant us peace.
