When Things Are Left Incomplete
Live And Learn
It happens
We tried everything we could
It still didn't work out
No time to feel pity
We have to move on and find a new challenge
That will consume our thoughts and energy
The sadness slips through when we pause
Trying to figure it out
Running it through our head a million times
What if ?
Why didn't I ?
Then we catch ourselves returning to that uncomfortable moment
When we had to accept the truth
It just wasn't going to happen
In life this can happen many times
Going for a job or a new position we really wanted
Finding our dream house and not long after
Hearing someone else beat us to it
Applying for a college and didn't get accepted
From small things to the major
Falling in love and finding out she doesn't love you anymore
The list goes on and on
How do we each deal with these tough times ?
Do we block them from our mind ?
What can we do to lesson the blow ?
I try to distract myself and keep my mind on anything else
This way in time when my mind finds it's way back
Time will have passed
Things don't seem as important when you are not in the middle of the action
Well I will still have my blue days
On the bright side I will have so many more incredible days that keep me happy
There is no telling why things didn't work out like I planned
Maybe
There is a bigger and better plan in place
I have to keep trying and stay in the race
So whatever you do
No matter how bad things seem
Don't drop out
Keep plugging
Then let time pass
Look at the same situation in a different light

I like to think of him as
The kindest and most thoughtful.
Who knows a lot more than we do
A real one of a kind
Now I go on with my day
Smiling
With a grin so deep
It starts at my feet
