When Things Don't Turn Out Like I Planned

I start from scratch and roll the dough in my hand

Thinking of the pleasure it will bring when I make something I can

Devour and enjoy so much

It starts with an idea and some focused effort

I will not hesitate to pound that dough to take out all the rough spots and make it smooth

I work out all my anxieties and frustrations

I move on

I want more than what life has given me

I want to take my chances and take the risk to become better

I have all the confidence and power to see my life through to the end

What I see now is just an image that I don't like

It is a ripple in the water of life

I want to make my reflection crystal clear

I want you to know I was here

The things that I try to do

Are not just for me

They are desires that go far beyond most ordinary men

When you put all your effort to make sure you will succeed

I turn to help others with the same passions and excitement

That want to make the world something no one could have ever imagined

Like a snow globe always changing what we see and making it great

Shake it up

Change the things that we don't like

It is not easy and we will probably get all scuffed up like new shoes that lost their shine

In time we will buff them again and bring back that brilliance

Other people can't help but see and enjoy

Deep down they know they have been fighting the same fight

This time we join forces instead of keeping it to ourselves

Our setbacks will always be temporary

Progress is important and together we will bond

Like the binding of a book we take all the loose pages of life and make them one

So other people can continue where we have stopped

They can create and master the lessons that make us strong

Each step is as bold as the one before

Chin up I will change my outcome

Because I can change my start
