When To Throw The Towel In
And Call It Quits...
Don't believe a word I say
I really mean time to get another towel
This one is wet and has been through the ringer many times
You have seen it sqished in with others only to be spun
It looks like it has got the crap nocked out of it (pardon my French)
But surprise, surprise, surprise !!!!
Your back for another round
To be fluffed up and dried and then folded neatly
So next time you can do it all again
Am I talking about towels
Maybe
Maybe I am talking about people and we should learn from the towels that we own
We display them nicely in our homes because we are proud and want to impress and try forget where they came from a short time before
A wet pile of soft cotton that has served its purpose and smells a little too
But hours later smelling fresh like you know who ?
So soft to the touch and I just can't get enough
I want to get you close to my body as close as you can
I want to rub you all over
Your hypnotic
You are definitely a wonder drug
I can't drink you
I can't eat you
You refresh my body from head to toe
You are not just like comfort food that fills my belly for the moment
or when I need you the most
You are used all the time and each time give so much more than most
You have never let me down
After all those thousands of times going round after round
Like the best fighters in the ring
Now there is no justice because when I am finally ragged and worn
At a closer look I might be slightly torn
You expect me to do more
When other people would of quit long ago and never looked back
I will never give up on you
I use you outside for other projects
Like washing my car I cherish so much
To give the shine that noone can take away or until the rain falls and muddy's the streets
Then I still come through with flying colors even though mine are faded now and I have lost all my pizzaz
I am a true blue friend here till the end
I have pampered you dry after all the messes you have been in
All I ask is for you to give me one final wrap around your skin
