When We Touch
When We Touch

Treasured, the moments of connections made,
when two minds meld within emotions laid,
when two hearts know and find peace of mind,
together in empathy for human kind.
When truth is expressed, lies laid to rest,
it is the heart that opens and with feelings attest,
with acceptance of our nature take,
a step toward tolerance and in union make.
These moments are gifts for a loving heart,
accepting the oneness of our collective, impart,
the common ground on which we stand,
on earth and in life an eternal plan.
Connections are lights like a billion stars,
and each a meaning of a billion hearts,
as we in darkness search for light,
and find one another and acquire sight.
When love is earned and accepted true,
we each do gain in soul a food,
and humanity grows from paths of right,
and life is good and shared in light.
When we touch our hearts are bare,
no secrets held in fear or care,
just sharing all potential given,
in this our world where love is driven.
