"When You Are Gone"

Sitting alone on a bench,

Everything is there,

But then again,

Something is missing,

You are that something,

My hand longs to be holding yours,

I close my eyes,

Wishing you were somehow here again,

I fall into a dream,

I see your face,

Smiling back at mine,

Your happiness colours my world,

When you are gone,

I only see in black and white,

When you are gone,

The world is worse off,

The world is less beautiful,

There is nothing more beautiful than you,

I can feel where you should be holding me,

My soul longs to be completed,

Your heart,

Next to mine,

Just me and you,

Wishing you were somehow here again,

Brightening my life,

With the blinding light that is you,

I open my eyes,

I am only embraced by the darkness.

Yes indeed. But when your dreams finally become your reality, life cannot get any better. :)

It makes you wish that dreams and memories are the reality.

When we fall in love, and love, the world changes. We see it through different eyes. Nicely done with a vote up.

Haha. Well like you I am also a metal head. My musical taste differs from jazz to rock to metal. But in the end, women can get to the best of us. :)

Voted up and beautiful.

Ah, cute poem. To be honest (somewhere deep beneath my death metal interior) I can relate to this.
