While Waiting

While waiting to get over you

I'll watch the seasons pass

And as I watch things bloom then die

I'll know that nothing lasts.

While waiting for my heart to mend

And for the wounds to heal

I'll wait for letters you won't send

And learn how not to feel.

While waiting to get over you

I'll watch your pictures fade

Until the frames are empty

As the promises you made.

While waiting for your memory

To fade and set my sad heart free

I'll feel the years wash over me

And know alone is all I'll be.

You have a deep soul, man.

Keep it up

Yeah, my soul was deep in depression when I wrote this.

I think even the paper I wrote it on was black!

Thanks Cerey.

Write on.

Perhaps the paper was black, but whatever its color and however it's expressed, there is absolutely NOTHING to equal the clearing, healing effects of writing. I know these things.

You are so right Nelleianna,

The poetic expression of the hurt and anger is so cathartic.

Better than smashing fine china, and easier to clean up...just edit!
