Whispers of Poetry: Dedication to Nellieanna H Hay by Manatita

Voted beautiful and awesome, "Yes! I say,"

Such is your poetry today.

Sweet love instils; the bliss of Heaven's glow,

Kindled my inner Light, above, below.

Ambrosia from within; this scribbling pen,

To you, my Love, these words my Spirit sends.

O pearls, o diamonds, glimmering, and free,

In calm repose, serene, Sweet Destiny.

Fragrant lotuses, sutras filled with balm,

Sweet words blossoming draped within your charm.

O Muse, O Seeress, soaring lustred Light,

Summoned inner core; my Soul took flight,

Pranams and graces to your heart’s delight,

Resplendent images touched my journey’s height.

Teaching me for real how to ensure,

Life’s fetters washed upon a distant shore.

Beloved, as seasons flow and ebb in You,

Grant thus this boon to merge her essence too.

Her radiant heart and joyful spirit’s face,

Profound gratitude to thus embrace;

Supernal and intoxicated bliss,

To share Your silent, unassuming feast.

O Love, unspoken is your moment sweet,

Blessed Compassion, do send us a tweet,

Wrapped and pure and of celestial snow,

“O overwhelming joy! O beauty’s glow!

Sweet silence-ecstasy, and words no more!”

I don't know this lady but this is a beautiful tribute to anyone. Your words lift us up and make us aware of the beauty and love in the world; let's face it, we need as much of that as we can get!

Lovely poetry. Ann

Ann, you're so right!

Love is the core of all things; the yearning of the One for the One; the very pulse of Being ... I may soon tackle this in prose.

As always, my deepest gratitude for your loving sentiments. Om Shanti

Manatita, dear inspiring friend! I’m humbled and honored by such a lovely, heart-felt tribute. My apologies for the delay in discovering it! Annart’s kind comments on one of my hubs alerted me to find it. Now I must admit that I thought I’d already followed you, so that I would have been informed. Now I will tend to that!

Thank you for that very welcome comment and needed bit of information, Ann! I have to confess that ‘other life’ has a way of imposing itself on one’s serenity and delight in writing, which I’d do constantly, otherwise! But BEING has its own rewards!

Manatita, what a refreshing treat to find such lovely poetry in my behalf and many comments from those I know or hope to know! Thank you, dear heart.

I feel so deeply what you said in your words to Annart: “. . . .Love is the core of all things; the yearning of the One for the One; the very pulse of Being . . . . ” So long as that is at the core of all we do, then all we do bears its pulse beating within and throughout it! It includes even the ’other’ things which draw our attention from what we may be thinking has more value. But it all has value. Mine directed elsewhere have been quite gratifying really. Taking them as they come, in stride, with all one is and has to share, raises the quality of all of one’s life in every corner of it. Nothing need be wasted.

For each person who has read Manatita's gracious hub here, thank you for your comments, as well! I feel recharged!

Your last two sentences are full of concern, Nellieanna. Gratitude is the life-breath of the Supreme, and you show this excellently. As to all else that you've said, only silence... Let our Souls speak.

Thank you. Silence is good and often, golden.

So you are in Texas! I have a sister there. In fact two sisters. I was born in Grenada, W.I but live in the UK. One brother in Canada and the rest at home in the Isle of Spice.

Your comment is so true. You know this, I'm sure.

Third visit this night.

What can I say, Martie?

We write for each other. If I can light a spark in you and you in me to rise higher, then we both become noble branches on the Tree of Life, playing our part in serving and elevating mankind: All God's children. Love from London, UK.

Yes, Manatita, I’m a native Texan, born in the border town of Del Rio. I’ve lived in Indiana and Kentucky and once, for a year in Arizona, but Texas is my true home. Since I returned, I’ve not roamed since I’ve been back here now 41 years, in fact! I live in North Texas but my roots are still in Southwest Texas. I’m a desert rat at heart!

"I’m a desert rat at heart!"

Makes sense. Encourages simplicity and charm. Thanks for sharing

Memorable lines for me,

"Summoned inner core; my Soul took flight,

Pranams and graces to your heart’s delight,

Teaching me for real how to ensure,

Life’s fetters washed upon a distant shore."

That is beautiful writing and a fitting dedication to Nellieanna
