Who Are We and Where Are We From ? (a poem by whonunuwho)
Who, who, says the owl, and we follow in kind,
Who was our father, just who will we find,
Just who are we and where are we from,
How long have we been here, what is the sum?
Who sets the rhythm, and the fine meter of all,
Our feet will but follow, who will answer the call?
Who is in charge of our lives, the big and small,
Before we could walk, did we all have to crawl?
Who knows the balance of what's so good for us,
Who do we listen to, and in whom do we trust?
Who sets the pattern of giving and of care,
Who will listen to each, our feelings to spare?
Who accepts us every one, no matter our creeds,
Shows blessings to all, provides for our needs?
Who do we all turn to, in those times of despair,
Gives us our comfort, and the love that we share?
Who, who says the owl, hiding knowledge of the ages,
No greater truths to be found, on any of life's pages.
His questions are filled with such a positive refrain,
The answer, lies unstated, yet to search, we shall gain.,
Our God, is the answer to every question that we ask,
No matter how difficult, He's always up to this task.
Who better could have made us, and He loves us so well,
Than our creator of the heavens, His truth will prevail..
