Why I wonder?
Why I wonder?
I search the halls for the one who can tame my soul.
I look into the deep recesses of my mind for the one,
who can take me away from the pan and rage that
fills my heart.
But tell me why I cannot find him, has he gone to the
places I cannot?
Or has he merely disappeared into the morning mists?
I have sat here in my locked world, within a place no man
has gone, waiting for him to find me and calm the waters that
storm throughout my being.
Why does he not exist? Or does he exist and I just have not
I roam the castle of my heart, wandering every room and hall.
Like a ghost unwilling to remain behind these walls.
With courage I leap into the blackness of heaven.
As faith lights the way along this dark and lonely road.
Why I wonder, what the future holds?
I feel him so close, yet so far away. I know he too is searching
and wondering the same as I.
For the scriptures of our lives are not for this world.
Until the calling of greatness has shouted our names.
So for the moment we'll share gifts greater than pearls.
Our hearts that spill blood as feelings run through our veins.
My love come to me, and let us not wonder why,
let us live our lives as they were destined.......
