Why, MOM?

… For The Unborn…

How could someone do something so cruel to an innocent, whose first breathe started while the world outside wandered with curiosity and ignorance? How could someone leave everything behind, and sacrifice a life… just to run away from one’s own responsibilities? How could one never hear the cry of the innocent who had no choice but to embrace life and lose it right away….

The cry of the UNBORN is the one CLOSEST to GOD's ears. (Image courtesy of Boots Bautista)

ABORTION

My world trembles in pain…

Soaked with the rain of your scathing spirit…

Inside my head I couldn’t see the light…

That used to shine in darkness.

The touch of my tortured soul…

Has hurt me much more than you will ever know.

I have grown cold by your smiting lies…

I know the rain won’t cease as the light dies…

You’re still there but I’m alone…

You heard me cry but you never listened…

I know I must go now…

Because the rain won’t stop…

As I let go of my last tear drop…

Why, MOM?

Oh you poor tortured soul! I can hear your cry! She may not hear, but God does. Turn to the merciful God for she listens! You have to be brave and grow up and help others in the same boat. Peace!

Thanks for dropping by, Einron. This poetry is dedicated to the unborn souls. Abortion is truly a social issue in which the innocent ones are the victims; they suffer for something that they have not done. God is truly merciful... and I know that these poor souls will never be alone in HIS loving arms. God bless!

Rationalization of murder. I had to kill it. What kind of a life would it have had? I had to kill it. I wasn't ready to be a parent, so it didn't have to let it live. The courts said that it is my body, and that body means nothing. Only my body counts to the law. Only my life matters here. I may have stopped a potential doctor or president or inventor of a cure of some disease but only I matter here. I was raped so I have to kill the resulting baby. I have to. I will be traumatized if I see a baby. I will hate the baby so I have to kill it. I was raped so I have to condone murder. God doesn't count here. It is only me and my body. It doesn't matter I have the legal right! Rationalization... We can rationalize anything. But that doesn't change the facts. 1. I carried a life within me. 2. I analyzed my situation and decided to end that life. 3. I did it for my convenience. 4. A life ended and I was responsible to bring that life being and instead I decided that that life was not worth the trouble it would cost me. 5. God has a stand in this issue and it does not agree with the courts.

No Body, thank you so much for dropping by and for imparting facts of rationalization that humans make just to have an excuse to do something and somehow avoid guilt... out of selfishness and maybe out of fear.

We have our own reasons for doing things, and it's sad to know that as what you have said, "God has a stand in this issue and it does not agree with the courts..."

On the other hand, it would be wonderful if we freely give life to others as freely as we were given the chance to live it by the ONE who loved us even before we took our first breathe... =)

The unborn didn't have a say in his coming, but he deserves to be born. Why Moms?

I'm very much disturbed by video footages of fetuses-dead or alive- littering our garbage damp, inside dirty boxes, cans, paper bags thrown away by sinful humans like unwanted animals. God forgive them!

These are sad realities in life mam Lita. Some humans need to suffer for the mistakes and thoughtlessness of others. Thanks for dropping by! God bless po! =)

I really wanted to leave a comment on your beautiful poem "I write", but there is no capsule for comments, so I came to this one. It is a sensitive subject and people have very strong opinions about it (either black or white), ignoring the gray of life.

The most beautiful book I read on this subject is "Letters to a child never born", by Oriana Falacci and I would recommanded to everyone; it will probably never change anyone's mind, but it is a superb read.

Dj, you do such a great job. Everyone here writes so good. I wish I knew how to.

I have a friend that believes in abortion. She says if the child is not wanted, like by a crack hoe, and they give it up, it will go into foster care and really bad things can and do happen to children in foster care. So she would rather see the seed terminated then see a child tormented, molested and maybe beaten for the rest of its childhood. She says you can not always trust the system to make sure the children are being taken care of.

It kinda makes sense. How many times have we seen children being terribly abused and even killed in the hands of foster children.

Great poem. Thank you for sharing

Tina

Thanks for the follow up. This poem is short but filled with essential meaning. I lost 1 baby due to detachment of the placenta and that was scary and traumatic. Nice HUB!. VOTED UP!
