Why Must You Lie
A poem by me
the night sky like a diamond glimmering for you
but I am lost, I can't find them, these glories that you do
I cannot see the accolades the writing on your wall
I hear the words you seem to say but I have to doubt them all
I try to trust the life you led I try to feel compelled
but all the words seem so misled all the intentions have failed
I try to grasp the subtlety and hang on every word
but listening is lost to me I don't believe what I've heard
trust in you I feel is false your words are obsolete
the stories never seem to halt and I simply waste to be
I'm falling into dreariness my tears they fail to cry
I can't relate to emptiness, why, oh why must you lie
