Why Do We Love Christmas on the 24 -- Not Your Female Model kind Of Gift

Source

Red green and gold

we start our words with colors we adore

why we love this day so much?

can you tell me dear Santa Clause?

memories and feelings of long ago

come to us through mitochondria and cells of love

Sunday church reminds to be good

and since we were kids that seemed so true!

Gathering with our beloved ones

remembering the gone ones

rejoicing to tunes that keep coming

not time for sadness in fragmented timing

peace on earth to the fellow man

feeling like kids praising this son of our Lord

waiting for the gifts that will come for sure

sharing heart beats and laughter galore

hope this creation is not flagged duplicate

was written with a heart that do not discriminate

nice chicken mom, nice ride beloved dad

we all are having the best feelings of our times

A prayer for the ones that left

sure they are here next to us

see the goosebumps after reading this?

is the feeling that we always missed

not matter how cold is outside

we are having fun on this twenty four

warmest hearts opening to all

many babies born after nine months!

Whats the funny?..were you born on September?

time to ask the Grinch, he might remember

I was close, just made it here on November

I guess dad and mom waited until Valentine's

Why do we love still this day?

you tell me dear friend is the only day

that we forget things that made its claim

embracing an enemy on the hills of Easter lands

being thankful for this mind of ours

sharing our words with no end

Coming home and finding a friend

who crying..thanked us for the memory lane...!

Merry Christmas to all!

Hello Flora!

Well...That's the part where you migh need some help, I know you love your independence, but When you get visits..some family member can pitch in in doing the clean up...unless you use disposable dishes. But one thing is for sure...this tradition has been around 1,800 years and it will be around for a little more than that...I we don't blow this world apart. Thanks Flora for stopping by..you always make me smile...

Lord,

So beautiful was the poem, and the song, and I had to laugh at the word duplicate---you have my sense of humor.

On a scale of 1 to 10---this is a 100+. Your talent never ends, and we are blessed that you share with us.

Your Hub Friend,

Bobbi

Well put. I know we celebrate cause we know Christ was born and we read from the Bible at midnight but for most people Dec 24 is a day to eat and drink and relax their aching feet from Christmas shopping. Dec 25 rip open the presents while still half asleep, eat and drink, kisses and hugs and it's all over. We have our little tradition as mentioned before, Latvians open their gifts on Christmas Eve so we used to after midnight. However gifts have been put on hold until better times and we sit and listen to Christmas music and drink some punch. Christmas Day I set a table in the late afternoon and then we watch some Christmas movies. We also have a second Christmas Dec 26 much like England has Boxer Day. However on Dec 26 we just spend some time by the Christmas tree. Then it's time to ring in the New Year. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

my dad's birthday is Christmas Eve so it was always weird. Christmas morning was always our big day. This year, I'm going to my new bride's families for Christmas and they "do christmas" on Christmas eve, so, that will be an experience for me.
