Words have much meaning.

Words.

Words have much meaning.

Words have too little meaning.

Remember when you told me you loved me?

Did you mean those words or were those words

simply spilled from your mouth?

Were they empty or were they filled with a meaning

that comes from the walls deep within your soul?

Remember when you told me I was your everything?

Did you mean those words or were those words,

simply spilled from your mouth?

Were those words felt by your inner workings that erupted from

within your heart?

Remember when you told me that I filled your life with

passion?

Did you mean those words of were those words

simply spilled from your mouth?

Were those words felt by the passion that has filled your loins?

Remember when you told me that I filled your life with

happiness?

Did you mean those words or were those words

simply spilled from your mouth?

Were those words felt by elated joy that you have for me?

Remember when you told me that I have made you complete?

Did you mean those words or were those words

simply spilled from your mouth?

Did you mean that I have become your entire life, with no

spaces left to fill you with sorrow?

Words have much meaning.

Words have too little meaning.

Remember when I told you I loved you?

I love you, for you are my love, you have filled my heart with

love, until it has overflowed the boundaries for all time.

Remember when I told you that you were my everything?

You are my everything, my entire world, I have built my

foundation on yours and may it never crumble, but be secure

and serene.

Remember when I told you that you have filled my soul with

passion?

You have gave me passion so that I may experience mine,

and in return will cherish the feelings from within my soul.

Remember when I told you that you have made me happy?

You have filled me with a happiness that makes the shadows

of my heart brighten with elated sunshine and warmth.

Remember when I told you that you have made me complete?

You are my complete world, the reason I am me, the reason I

have given myself to you, the reason for my exsistence.

Words have much meaning.

Words have too little meaning.

I love you.

This poem is lovely. Seemingly simple, but the depths of meaning are so complex. Thanks for writing.

Namaste.

Words are our comforters and our demons in this life, they are hauntingly beautiful or cursed. To be able to share words is a gift and you have done it here with great depth and I am so thankful that you have done so.

You open up black hole that shined light into my soul. Your are a creative writer and I am blessed to read you. Peace

Isn't that the truth Saddlerider, that we can use words to give with praise or to slice as a knife. And one thing I learned when young, be careful of those words you say to another, for we can never take them back. A very valued lesson to be sure.

Thank you for your compliments Sweet Man. I must say that your words have touched me deeply, reaching your prose and your poetry. I look forward every time you publish.

Blessings and hugs,

Laurie

Someone's words can make you feel like your soaring to the heights of heaven or bring you to the depths of your own hell. You said it so well, Laurie Dawn.

My lady, words can be friend or foe and cast out with foul mouth or chosen with diligence to praise and lift up ones spirit.

It is a braggart with to much ale who can brag and bully with hurting tongue. So the choice of words is a delicate affair.

I am so happy to read your words here. Well done my spirit has been calmed and lifted up.

Thank you Vincent. Words, our choices, at times our meaningless pleas that reach across a void and fill those with such a profound depth that they scream. And at others they whisper in the night of calming surrender.

Thank you for your kindness, and I am elated that my words could reach through and offer you calm, and to be lifted.

Blessings,

Laurie

LaurieDawn, like the way this poem flows. I like the repetition of the question "...simply spilled from your mouth?". It works, and works well.
