Hahaha.. how cute! Oh, Lipstick is only a writing utensil if you're leaving a message for someone on THEIR mirror LOL! :) Ah, but every time I buy the "latest set" I end up getting more shades, and usually ones I'd never use and they are like wax! lol Except Clinique. They have some that is so silky, and stays. And no gloss needed! (on those dress up days! blah) LOL

I just couldn't help it... thought it was cute and had to get it out there. Ironically though, it started off with just the pencil and it was soppossed to be "long skinny shaft" but felt that was so perverted! LOL HAHA

But anyways, it is hard to come up with numerous amounts of writing utensils!

You know, after I read it and looked below, it reminded me of the vast array of colors Crayola makes! I had NO IDEA in the world they made metallic crayons, and glitter crayons until I was coloring with a little girl I once knew. She brought her little (clear) bag of crayons, and I was teaching her how to add a deeper color into corners to give depth to things and on sides. Eventually she got it, and did good. Then one day I was at the store and looking at them... and WOW, the changes from what I had growing up! I paid, I think almost $14. for a spiral 360 I think, crayon caddy. When she saw that her eyes got as big as saucers LOL, I said "look some glitter" and she just went nuts coloring in her books! It was fun. I miss her, teaching her and showing her new techniques. I believe there's a little artist in there if she could be introduced to new mediums. Maybe I should do a hub and show (you and others too lol) some of the things I made her. They were so colorful I actually photographed them. I was going to make a scrapbook of them, but ah, I don't think I'll ever see her again. But it could give others idea's and maybe my girl, you just given me a boost to make a new hub, and ditch the markers that don't wash out LOL! :) Yeah the long skinny shaft omg LOL.. that is hysterical! lol haha.. thanks for the giggle! hehe ;)

Funny! This reminded me of when Sydney proudly led me into her 2 year old room to show me the pretty picture she colored - on the wall - in marker! It was huge! All I could do was lmao! Her dad liked it too - A LOT! I laugh about it every time I think about it so I'm actually glad she did it! One up & awesome!

@Katherella: I think you really should do a hub about that. I would enjoy it. And your welcome for the giggle! LOL

@RealHousewife: Did you take a picture of her picture on the wall. That is great memories. I did that once... it is also great way to tease them when they get older. Look - new boyfriend - do you want to see my daughters art when whe was younger... wait... its on the wall! LOL

I think she may be a great Grafffiti artist someday! No! Darn I should have gotten a photo of that!!! Hilarious you!

LOL@RealHousewife.. I can only imagine "see the art, oh it's on the wall" NOT HANGING! lol..

That too happened with the wash off markers with this girls little brother. Oh, wow, I was the sitter so before anybody got home I was trying to get it off so he wouldn't be in trouble. LUCKILY ::whew:: they were those washables! So I got it off pretty good and not noticed! So we saved the day! He was only 2 so, big circles, but I guess art to him anyway LOL! Kids, ah, they're only little for such a short amount of time. I can see teaching them WRITE:) from wrong, but what I did was divert his attention with us to a BOOK! And saying how pretty they'd be on the fridge! :) Hey it worked as far as I knew!

@Barbergirl I found some of them I photo'd and cropped them, so I'm working on getting that hub together! I think it'll be good for other ages as well! I mean, sheesh crayons aren't just for kids LOL! I have my own set.. glitter?? Where was all this fun stuff when I was a kid "booo hooooo" LOL! :)

That should be the name of your hub "Crayons aren't for Kids!!"

Love it!

Hahahaha! You again - wicked clever barber girl;) Thx for the laugh Katharella:). Then next hub can be about no matter how many times we coated it with kilz and repainted - the marker would seep through! When we sold that house - I could actually still see "the writing on the wall!" beneath the paint a bit:)

A really cool poem and the last "lip stick" not a writing instrument reminded me of a comment made by the Reverend Billy Graham in a sermon. In a cheap motel room rented for a one night stand a man enters the bathroom only to find written on the bathroom mirror "Welcome to the world of Aids" scrawled in big letters by the prostitute who had left before he had awakened written in red lipstick. You are an amazing writer barbergirl.

Amazing and funny! My children's favorite were chalk. They love to grind the chalk up into piles, pat their hands in it, then pat the wall with their "art". At least it was easy clean up. Thanks for sharing this artistic hub.

Very cute Barbergirl...

My writing untensils are anything I grab at the time except highlighters..they do not work well...I do not like pens that do not work..fustrates me right away..why does it not work? Oh 1984 well there you go!..Pencils that need sharpened but cant find the sharpner..that gets on my nerves..so much more to say about writing untensils..haha..Nothing better than a new store bought pen that is dried up..Ahhhh...now that one will make you smile..

Have a great day,

Sunnie

@Fiddleman - Thank you so very much. That is quiet the story you have there. I always thought of lipstick as a writing utensil because during Halloween we would always use it to write messages on the mirrors as part of our decorations. It was quick and easy!

@tploague - what a cool story. My kids love chalk as well. Although I must say, I never knew chalk stained clothes until recently. My son apparently sat in a whole pile of it and I didn't think to use stain remover before throwing it in the wash. Next time I hope they keep it on their hands! :)

@Cyndi10 - Thank you very much. It truly is something for the creative, the artsy and the writer in all of us! :)

@Sunnie - I feel your pain... and the worst part is, even if the pen is dried up I somehow end up putting it back in the pile. I guess I am secretly hoping the next time it will work again. Almost as if it is against writer's law to throw away a writing utencil! :) I too love anything that you can write with. It truly is the writer in me!

Uh, BG, you misspelled Utencils (Utensils) in your title, was that on purpose? Really loved the flow of the poem though. Very cute and well thought out. Voted up :-)

@Thomas - my keyboard is my main way of writing... my backspace bar says nothing, but I think that is always the way it has been.... and my "N" is completely gone. I must use Ns a whole lot.. lol

@Austinstar - nope... never even realized it. My spelling is sometimes horrible. Thanks for pointing out. Now I am going to fix it! LOL
