You Can't Make Me Leave
Five More Minutes
I love it too much
I don't want to go
You have been in there long enough
Get in do your business, get out
Those words have rung in my head for a little over four decades
As I let the water pour over my face and shoulders
I can feel every muscle in my body go limp
My eyes shut but so relaxed as if they were turned off
Not a care in the world
Until of course the water stops
Out of the shower I go with a breeze that is more like a chill
Erasing each wonderful and exciting exhilarating moment
There are very few places I would say would be almost as good as sex
This is one
All my emotions come to a head
My mind now clear of any wrong doing
My body clean of all the hard labor and strenuous effort that left its temporarily mark
To feel the rush that tingles and pumps my blood through every vein
As the water goes to a trickle then to drip slowly I get out
Reluctantly leaving the high point of my day
Only waiting till my return one that will be forever learned
