The first time You embraced my forlorn Heart,

A ray of sunbeams blossomed in my Soul.

I had searched endlessly for that sweet spot,

My breath to kiss Thy face my only goal.

Hopeless in despair I felt abandoned,

All ceaseless cries and searches were in vain.

My woes were not aware that Love had scanned,

The intricated longing in my pain.

Beloved One, such captivating gaze,

My wretched frame unworthy of Thy truth.

And yet Your radiant Form doth set ablaze,

Ignite the flickering candle of my youth.

A timeless Bliss upon Your birthless shore,

Thy golden flute a jewel in my core.

Yes. Just had 8 days retreat in Germany. Excellent trip, great weather and much time for remembering Brahman. Going out for breakfast. Hungry. Loving thoughts.

She is such a nice lady, and this fits her perfectly, and you need to steer her over here so she can see it and be as impressed as I am. :)

Bill, chuckle ... chuckle. Well, thank you so much, my brother! Appreciated!!

Miz, appreciated a lot. While in Germany, I noted that you had commented on one of my poems, but I did not see any comment. Something went wrong, I believe. Sending you much Love and concern. Praise be!

Blissful mood in poetry. Powerful prayerful concepts by your Guru. Lovely woman who inspired the sonnet. Still among the best of poets!

Me too, Ruby. Cool, eh? Thank you so much, my Sweet.

Dora, A fine sentiment indeed! I cherish this. About poetry I actually think that they should have different prize categories.

For me there is no such thing as best. Rasma is excellent at romance, Nellieanna and Audrey exquisite at aesthetics and the ethereal. I am essentially a spiritual/esoteric/mystical poet.

Some are great at Haiku's and others sonnets and so forth. So I can do most, yes, but My favourite niche is longing and inner experience, all for the Divine. Surabhi sometimes writes like me, but the ability to weave or lift, is a spiritual one based on inner quest. Long response. Much Love.

Thank you Manatita for this soulful, pious and divine poem!

I am sorry I came across this beautiful work of yours slightly late.

I have always maintained and do so even in case of this poem that no one can combine divine love and poetry as beautifully as you.

Your selection of pictures and video also amazes me. You always find the most appropriate one.

I am grateful to you for this honour. May God bless you and all the great hubbers for their beautiful comments.

I feel truly humbled and thank you so much!
