Your Place in the Universe

Bill

In the beginning there came light from the sky

Teased to existence by the sun we glide by

Touched by its heat it taunts live or let die

Your place in the universe no one can deny

============================

By night the mood softens with a magical ally

Ethereal bliss of moonlight the stars in comply

Sets a silver tone for the silk dreams we let fly

Your place in the universe no one can deny

=================================

On the wings of fairies, shy, silent life flits by

Trail of bio luminescence glows the firefly

Capture a gentle star that catches your eye

Your place in the universe no one can deny

=================================

Rarer the phenomena that human life should try

To match nature's course in a generous supply

Enlightening the path for those who wait nearby

Your place in the universe no one can deny

=================================

In the beginning there came light from the sky

Born beneath a brilliant star, unafraid to cry

A son, brother, father, man, it's love you apply

Your place in the universe no one can deny

=================================

The fact that I know you, Pop, here at the hub and you tell it like you see it, I put stock in everything you say. Without a doubt, your powerful words have started my idea of the perfect day. Love your beautiful heart.

Mark, my poetic friend, Your words make me cry and it's all so good. I'd like to scribe your words on a sign and put it on my wall. They give me courage in a reminder that I am not less than. Thank you for your gift.

Wow Amy, I needed this today. I am in the process of writing the most difficult article of my limited career....am I up for it? do I have enough talent to write it the way it should be written? But I have to...it's for the little ones....the weak...those with no voice...it has to be told.....your poem hits home in so many ways today. I have tears in my eyes this morning Amy. I weep for those who have no voice...those who have lost their place in the universe...those who have been forcibly denied.

thank you

peace, hugs and love always

bill

Well, Bill, as you can see, I believe in you. You are up to the difficult task you endeavor to make known. I know there is great pain and suffering in our world today, some of it slowly but purposely suffocating its victims for a long, long time. I look toward to educating myself with your upcoming article, and I am preparing myself for the heartbreak I know I will find. Thank you, Bill, for all your care. Peace, hugs and love

Amy, I have a confession to make...Bev was just reading this and she pointed out the name Bill at the beginning....I had not seen that....????

I have difficulty at times handling kindness when it is aimed at me...if this was, indeed, given to me as a gift then I am speechless and stunned. You have given me great happiness today my friend, and I apologize for being so slow on the uptake my first time through this. I am so wrapped up in this hub that I am writing that I'm not firing on all cylinders.

Thank you dear lady! Gifts like these are timeless and mean so much.

love,

bill

I thought that might be the case, Bill. I wondered, when I saw your first comment, knowing that you are preoccupied by your overwhelming endeavor, if you noticed. Your article yesterday solidifies the fact, beyond any doubt, where your heart is. And, yes, this piece was written for you, the man who inspired it.

A beautiful poem to a deserving writer. It's wonderful that you capture the spirit of generosity, the aspects of love for fellow humanity and the constant urge to clarify and communicate that pervades Bill's wonderful articles. Your words are u adorned yet glitter like a diamond crown. And who better to receive this. Beautiful Amy.

Bill's article yesterday and the comments that followed were so inspiring to me, Docmo. With so much violence in Syria and the recent massacre in Colorado, it's reassuring to hear someone who is on a mission with a message to change things. It's good to feel like there is hope...and there always is when there is heart. Oh, BTW, I told my BFF, who adores Pooh, to catch your series when her computer is up and running. It's magnificent in every artistic way. Thanks, Mohan

Ruby, your words are sweet music to my ears and just the note I need to hear. I fought with my laptop today, it crashed, but I am so proud of myself that I didn't give up, struggled, cussed, kept trying and managed to get it back...for now. Tomorrow, I am hoping I can see my way clear to research self-publishing more, make a decision as to who, where, how and kick it into gear. Thank you for the vote of confidence and courage. Hugs

Thank you, dear drbj. Yes, Bill's determination in changing his own life around is proof that he says what he means and means what he says. His life story illustrates his sincerity. If anyone can make a difference, even in situations that seem hopeless, it is Bill, one step at a time, one person at a time. I admire his tenacity in the face of adversity. Sure and steady wins the race and he's a winner. Sometimes, drbj, hope feels like a flimsy word when I feel hopeless. Bill makes it feel concrete.

Amy, phenomenanly beautiful, tender, understanding; recognizing another sensitive soul just as yourself. I read billybuc's hub..astounding and illuminating; and, here...you have responded so kindly; and with an empathetic ability to identify he who stands in front of you and reflects back to you. You are both tender souls. I am glad that you are friends; as I am glad to call you friend and to have, recently, met bill. The energy and absolute truth of his words and yours takes my breath away.

myownlife, Each of us has our place in the universe. Individuals make their mark every moment of everyday, some for extraordinary good, and as everyone on earth knows, some create havoc, such as in the article Bill wrote that inspired my piece. Some choose the ways of peace, some violence; some tolerance while others not. We are all equal, but out choices determine how we effect the world. I admire the way Bill chooses to use his gifts. His compassion makes the world better for everyone here. Thank you, myownlife.

Dear Kathy, Bill reminds me of you and my dad. There are those individuals who do so much for so many. Every person matters and its you, Bill, my dad and other compassionate souls that respect all life, who try to make the world just, fair and good for everyone, that affect change. Bill touched my heart with his sincerity and I felt compelled to acknowledge that his sense of fairness for all does not go unnoticed. It matters, just as your your's, Kathy. Every time I read about an animal that you help, I am struck by your love. Every time my dad helped a stranger in need, it touched me at core. All of us have the power to make the world a beautiful, just place for someone at some time in our lives. Some turn away, but, thank God, some cannot. I am thankful those people that cannot simply walk away. Thank you, my beautiful friend.

Mister C, I had to cajole my computer into cooperating again today and in the process, nearly missed your magnificent comment. That would have been a terrible loss. You always manage to make me feel confident that I am on the right path. Your message makes my tiny speck in this big universe glow. I am eternally grateful.

...well actually I have met the 'Stahl' and I showed her your 'hub' portfolio along with your profile picture and two things happened immediately:

1. urine started to trickle down her leg

2. she whimpered, first silently, and then it was more of a 'yelp' which almost crushed my eardrum
