A man in solitude .....a poem

I always tell myself " it doesn't matter
from where it came"
but I do love my solitude in the forest
in the snow in the rain

Come and find me if you care
but only if you must
don't worry about what I'm doing
you should learn how to trust

It only bothers me a little that
I'm becoming a recluse
must be because I'm just one of those kind
there's no other excuse

In the serenity of silence my soul
untangles the knots fly loose
I can no longer be your partner
if in the social life you choose

If you must go..... it's okay I truly
I'm so sorry I can't be that perfect
kind of man

Just let me go.... leave me be
here among the pines
the river to the sea
I'm just going where I belong
where I'm free
where I'm me

Beautifully felt and written, your thoughts echo the whisper of many hearts I imagine.

Wow-so beautifully sad. Making a choice for his freedom is a bittersweet choice. Hit all buttons except funny, and sharing.
