Your Smile (poem)

My meaning is the sunshine of your smile

It’s there my heart finds purpose for the day

A scent of heaven guiding me away

And what I’ll give to drift with you awhile

Mere words just blush at what your lips convey

A myriad of magic memories

The love songs which were captured in a breeze

Those many seasons calls my soul to stray

I dare the night my actions do not please

And tears of sadness come to steal the light

I curse this fool whose madness took his sight

And let his sense of value wane an ease

Now all of life seeks refuge from some blight

Soft space to rest amid the endless trial

And there a newfound strength and hope compile

For me my love your smile is my delight

A bard by any other name just wouldn't be a Mad Hatter. Artistry in your wording, a journey to read. Thank you for writing.

The romantic is showing. A smile is the greatest gift one can bestow. To receive can be ecstasy. Great Job, my friend!

I love the art of seduction and love esp as the poem becomes more lyrical at the end.

I love the imagery in these words. This verse speaks to a once profound love as only a lover can convey. That love songs were captured in a breeze and that a soul was called to stray. A strong connection summons us.

Really lovey. Voted up.

Beautiful words, M. For reasons that I can't explain, the whole thing reminds me of the Mona Lisa. Maybe it's because of the picture of the girl holding the rose. Who knows what she's thinking? Great song by a great duo, too.

Voted up!
