Your dog deserves your love!
You did not feed your dog last night
as anger overpowered you,
When he failed to listen to
what you wanted him to do.
You wanted the poor soul to stay in place
when released the collar chain,
He ran all over your garden
you thought training went in vain !
Finally the dog came near you
probably he wanted to say,
' Giving me some freedom
you have made my day ! '
May be he wanted to play with you
as he ran off again,
But you frightened the poor dog
holding in your hand a cane.
You went inside, shut the door,
not bothered about the dog anymore,
He returned thereafter looking for you
and sat outside your door.
You were having dinner,
the dog could get the smell,
Thought you would give him his meal
and so he did not yell.
You went to bed, were fast asleep,
your snoring the dog could hear,
For your goodnight sleep he felt happy,
his hunger he could bear.
He guarded you all night through
keeping your safety in mind,
You opened the door in the morning
the dog was there to find.
He looked at you, wagged his tail,
came and licked your toes,
As you picked up the dog in your arms
he fondly kissed your nose.
Where on earth would you find
such a good friend you can trust ?
Your dog deserves your love
and this you give him must.
