Poem: You would always be , somebody's child.
You would always be Somebody’s child.
You are all
grown up now
Matured enough
to be an adult
Your parents
are still alive
Are they ?
At least one
of then.
Do you know
that this
Is the time
When you
should really
Show your
appreciation.
Yes , now that
you are grown.
It’s was not easy
raising you all
The correct way
growing up kids
It’s not easy
to be that
Listening ear,
To hear
that tricky
Gu Gu
GaGa
But It meant
everything
Even when
Your parents
ear drums
Were pounding!
The loads
Of redundancies,
Two and three
Year olds
think they say.
With absolutely
No meaning
But your parents
Kept on
Listening
And swear
That they
Could hear.
Exactly
What you are
Saying
Now you are
this big
man/woman
Not even
a love you
Call.
And to you
that is fair!
Even those
Rhetorical
Nonsense
Most young people
Gets caught up in
Thinking
They are
Into something
Your parents
are still there
Look at you now,
All grown up
Think you
are all that
And more
In the eyes
of great parents
You are only
their babies
That’s the truth,
absolutely sure.
When was
the last time?
You called
and told them
how much you
loved them.
When was
the last time?
You called
Just to speak for
A while.
Showing them
That you care.
When was
the last time?
While reminiscing
You stood up
Remembering
that you were
once just a child
And with that
you then called
Said thanks.
Knowing
they were always
There for you.
Even if
you think
Differently
Had it not
been for them,
You won’t be
here presently
Acting like
some big man
big woman.
When was
the last time
you remembered
The ones
who held you
In their hands.
They are
the ones who
made it?
Possible.
As you
remember
The saying
You are once
A man /woman
But twice
a child.
Yes this
Big man /woman
Would always
Be somebody’s
Child.
Yes you!
Bless
