A Poem about Heartbreak

You Without This

I love myself because I know I'm worth it. Sweet as a butterfly, Hard as a brick. I can't be broken. You without this is my poetry in motion.

What I once thought was love, I know now is lust. With your lies you have betrayed my trust,

so face it,

Like Mike without his glove, A hater now in love, our relationship will not work and me without you frankly just won't hurt

I have learned from my mistakes.

No more will I fall victim to your venomous bait.

Now pick up this message as it crosses your ear, I am your past and

the one you should fear

You without this is like a life with no meaning,

A book without a beginning, that I have been so blessed to expose

Former lover, friend. Be a man and learn how to treat a woman

Because this chapter is closed!

Hello, cynamons,

Deep poem. Very deep.

Because I am a man who has "tripped up" quite a number of times in my relationships with women -- real good women -- I can certainly identify with this expression of your feelings in this work of art.

Learning from breakups is the best revenge for heartache. Thanks for sharing.
