How do you pull yourself through the writers block? I can't find any gaps in the wall.
I have been battling writers block for the better part of a year now. My advice and from personal experience, is that writers block is simple the ability of not knowing where to begin to write. Whenever I have this problem (quite often) I just figure out what is keeping me from writing, and begin there!
I also focus on writing for fun to get my thoughts going OR I read articles that inspire me!
I hope this helps!
I write one sentence. It doesn't have to be good, and it will probably be changed once I complete the rest of the paragraph, page, or article. For some reason, if I can get that one sentence down then I can take off with it and get the whole thing done, no matter how much I didn't feel like writing about it. I write full-time, and not writing simply isn't an option, my family still needs to eat. Of all the things I've tried for battling writer's block, this has been the easiest for me. If you can't even seem to get the one sentence down, I find that sitting down and writing a basic outline helps, because then you're focusing on something very specific that may only need 2-3 sentences.
Take out a pad of paper and a pencil and just start writing story or article ideas down. No matter how small, write it down. Better known as a brain dump. This helps me. Hopefully it'll help you.
I read a new book, and I become inspired. Be careful though. Don't get to into it and start stealing the author's ideas!
If your writer's block is specific to Hubs, try scrolling through the Answers section for questions that seem worthy of an expanded answer or deeper analysis. Even if you don't know much about the topic, it's more encouraging to conduct research, and to develop an article, about something you already know others are keen to find out.
Equally, if you find any questions that have received a reasonably large number, and a wide range, of responses, see if you can pull those together to create one cohesive Hub, adding if possible, some insights of your own.
This is a proven technique. So much so, that, if you look at the base of the panel in which you write an answer to a question, you'll see that there are three suggested actions: one of which is, make a Hub about it.
Good luck.
Personally I usually have at least three or four different projects going at one time. So when I hit a wall on one subject, I can put it down for a while, move on to something else and come back later with fresh eyes.
That usually works for me. Sometimes it's so bad that even after two or three revisits I still can't make any progress, Then usually I will to start writing it in a direction I didn't think it would go. Sometimes that works, sometimes I deliete all of it, but at least I eliminated a direction that i know its NOT going to go.
I hate writers block. What I tend to do is to keep trying to write. Rhyme words, read something, listen to (mainly) Eminem and find something that creates a spark. When you find that spark, set it alight and run with it before it burns out and you find yourself in the dark again. You need to find something that excites you, but whatever you do, don't give up.
Good question Dean, I usually take a break and relax and let the inspiration come to me. When I am concentrating too much it seems to get the best of me when I have writes block. When I don't worry about it the idea's seems to come together when I am not even thinking about it. Sometimes we have to remove self in other to create the unknown.
Sit down and just write whatever comes to mind. Tapping the stream of consciousness can often break the wall you see in front of you.
Writing Prompts To Enhance Creativity
A writing prompt is a method,

it can be seen frequently.

are situated around your space.
