    Where do you find inspiration?

    Hi:

I try to find things that I am really passionate about, or basically love doing without finding myself getting too bored doing them. For example setting up a tropical fish aquarium could be very stimulating to some people, but of course not everyone. It does take time and a little patience. But I also enjoy writing, that is why I joined hubpages.  Love writing on a variety of topics, not only an outlet, but for inspiration as well.  Hope this gives you some ideas.

In the world around me, in the conversations people have, in the things my children say, in looking at the clouds, in taking public transit.  I have three hubs that talk about ideas.

I find inspiration in the elderly people of whom I care for.  The hardships they go through every day just to live is astounding to me.  Most of them go through their struggles with a smile on their face, and if they don't at first, I can usually bring it out in them. (:

Seeing them and the way they tackle life makes my life seem a lot less hard.  They make me want to live a fuller life and cram as much as I can into the life I have left...which is still a lot!

My other inspiration is my love for any and all animals.

    Great question, Elizabeth! (:

May peace be in your heart and soul...always,
    Diana

I'm not sure if a lot of what I write is from inspiration. A lot of times it feels like desperation. But, not to bum you out too much, I guess that I write about the stuff I do in order to be of some kind of help. Sometimes it's just to be funny, sometimes, just to make a point and a lot of the time just to put down in solid form the thoughts whirling through my head....I hope that answeres your question...Thanks for asking...Eddie

I find inspiration from inspiring people.
There's some people out there, like Seth Godin, for example, who have a real ability to inspire others, and I take advantage of that.  I try to surround myself with positive, empowering influences and I allow myself to be inspired by the success of others.  There's some very remarkable people in the world, and I think forming connections with them, even just as readers, or fans, can often be a real benefit.

More directly, in my own life I have one person, in particular, who is just awesome, and her accomplishments prove to me that a single person can make a difference in the world.

I get my inspiration from reading the news, the people that I love, the trees, the stars, people that I inspire and vice versa, prophecies, scriptures, history, legends, cover ups, politics, animals and what they have to go through due to what human beings do to them and our planet.

I get my inspiration from a variety of places-my interests, my family, world events, etc. I had an instructor once who told us that we had to write at least 500 words per day, even if it turns out to be bad enough you decide to throw it out later. When someone asked him what to do when he had writer's block or had no energy, he told us to write about that.

eg: I have no idea what to write about today and yet I must write at least 500 words each day. I'm too tired to think of anything...

At least then you mnake your quota.

After reading your other answers, I see that we all have in common that we find our inspiration from many sources. For me, really anything is an inspiration.  Often I just hear a certain word and then remember to use it later in something I'm writing. Other times, I write from experiences that were very important in my life. Sometimes I write about something I love like lavender.  Titles usually appear in my mind as if on a bulletin board as I'm walking across the room.  Some of my poetry almost writes itself, the words coursing through my veins and out through the tips of my fingers. Kind of weird.  It's especially nice to write something about advice you can give on a topic that is familiar to you, or that you have even a small amount of experience with.  Best wishes!
