   *Mine is definitely Death Cab for Cutie the soothing lyrics and soft melodies make me travel outside my body and into a whole new exciting world.

   I have many, but my main sources of inspiration come from Katy perry, and lady gaga. I know, LAME. But they are both wonderful.

   Boxcar Racer...just because of the singers voice! (I think it is the same singer of Blink182) "Letters To God", "There Is"...and I like Death Cab For Cutie: "I Will Follow You Into The Dark!" Great songs!

   Josh Groban, one of my favorite song he sang is "you raise me up". That was the song my best friend dedicate to me before he left CA. Really bring good thoughts, I like it when he sing with Mariah Carey. I also like Celine Dion song as well....

   For my poetry and music I always get inspired by visuals and photography. Mostly, Erik Johansson. And for music artist I can listen to Emmure, Crystal Castles, Muse, and Sufjan Stevens and they allot me in a writing mood.

   Billy Joel, and I don't know about inspiring me but while I write I listen to a lot of Simon and Garfunkel and anything with a peaceful feel to it.

    Joni Mitchell. Her blend of emotional/intellectual poetry and musical performance is unmatched in my experience. Listen to her first 6 albums (vinyl is how I heard them) and you will understand.

    Tom Waits, because he tells it like it is, but tells it like a hobo punk rock star who once opened for Elvis and danced with Ann Margaret on the grave of Jimmy Hoffa would tell it.  So I try to replicate that.

    I like to listen to Josh Groban when writing poetry. His songs are so filled with emotion that they help bring me into the poetry mood.
    
    For everything else I usually listen to classical music or (don't judge me) Viking rock. I know the two are an odd combo, but I'm weird like that. =P

    Chris Cornell.  His solo work is inspiring and poetic.  Hard to believe when you think he was the singer for Soundgarden.
