I have 3!
1. Unlimited, Jillian Michaels
I have been following Jillian for years now and she stays consistent. I like and admire that! I also love her Tough love style!
2. How to Improve your Marriage Without talking, Patricia Love, Ed. D & Steven Stosny, Ph.D
As a married woman, married to a wonderful man for years now, I am constantly looking for ways to improve and continue the love and respect we have for each other and this book is phenomenal in understanding how to really communicate on all levels. I have implemented a lot of these strategies and it's been great!
3. Power Thoughts, Joyce Meyers
What can I say, this is a very mediative and work in progress kind of book and as a believer, my mind is a link to a positive and healthy life. This books helps me daily, weekly, monthly and yearly!
Thanks for your question!
I have several favorites. Unfortunately I don't remember any of the authors names but I can certainly tell you why I like these books.
The Shack: It is one of those books that you either love or hate. No in-between. It is about a man who's 7-year-old daughter was kidnapped and murdered, and he goes on a journey with God Himself and comes to peace with what happened.
The Secret Year: I'm a romantic. This book is about a couple who are together for a year and nobody knows except the two of them. The girl gets killed in a car accident, and her brother finds her journal, which is how he found out about the secret relationship. He gives the journal to the girl's boyfriend, and it reveals secrets to him about how she felt about him.
Of Mice And Men: I love this book because of all the metaphors. The old man let somebody shoot his old useless dog, and regrets it later because he should have done it himself. At the end when all the men hunt down Lennie for killing the boss's wife by accident, George goes and kills him before they do, so that it would have been him and not them.
Harry Potter: No need to say why I love this series. lol. But I do know the author is J.K. Rowling.
Random Acts of Heroic Love.
It's written by a MALE author who clearly understands the true meaning of love... In many different forms.
A Dream of Red Mansions by Cao Xueqin in Qing dynasty of China.
The novel talked about the rise and decline of a noble family, which based on the real experience of the author. Actually, the author did not give a continuous story, but displayed all those daily things happened in the family, among the young men and women, masters and servants, used simple but beautiful language to portray distinct the personalities and mentalities of a large group characters, and gave a clear picture about those complicated relationship between members as well as their ranks in the family, which is really a miniuture social system.
By describing those daily things, the author deeply extracted out the cultural and idealogical root-cause that destroyed the real beauty and thus caused tragedy: the beautiful love was ruined, intelligent girls were ruined when they were like roses in bloom, everything got ruined, but only a bland world was left behind in the end...
In the novel, the author also described various traditions and folk art in detail, such as fancy food, china products, kite making, music and musical instruments, as well as beautiful poems, and so on.
A Dream of Red Mansions is a world famous book. Since it was born, the debate about it has never stopped, especially about the opposite values showed by the two leading women charaters. In general, it tells the matchless talent, tempernament and depressed lives of females in a male society observed by a male people, the general leading character.
I'm a huge Charles Dickens fan, and I also enjoy learning about history, so "A Tale of Two Cities" was right up my alley.
The Bible.....the Authors name is the Lord Jesus Christ:) Why I love it? Because it convicts, teaches, and comforts me:)
Curious Wine by Katherine V. Forrest is my favorite book. A beautiful story involving two women...an awakening...and of course, love.
Battle Royale by Koushun Takami. It's about 42 Japanese high school students who are put on an island, and told that only one of them will be getting off alive. They're forced to kill each other in a game. It works because the characterization is so ridiculously well done.
Hi thank you so much People for taking the time to answer my question. I do appreciate it and some of the books i will look into. I know everyone has different taste and style of reading so i will see which catergories looks best for me
Have a wonderful week
God bless
A Wild Sheep Chase by Haruki Murakami. It's a great blend of mystery, thriller, and mythology, as well as a surreal atmosphere keeping the reader engrained with puzzling thoughts. There's a very existential tone as the protagonist is seemingly bored with his life and decides he can make things more interesting by searching for a special sheep. Really worth the read. I highly recommend it.

Hi everyone,I love Terry Pratchett's fantasy comedy novels - although set in his fantasy Discworld, they often take on real world issues. It could be said that Terry is the greatest satirist of the 20th and 21st centuries.I'm also a big fan of David Eddings' Belgariad and Mallorean series, and...
