The movie was quite good. I thought that jennifer lawrence was exceptional in the role. The cinematography and acting, screenplay and direction was on par with a credible and worthy movie adaptation. Actually, it was quite good.
However, I still enjoyed the novel. Its hard to beat your own imagination. I have to admit that I try not to be harsh on movies. There is so much editing for the screen involved, most notably with the dialogue and character development that it would be unfair to compare the two with all due respect.
On the same token, certain books that I have read in the past looked better on screen. That's to say, that those books were not one of my favorites. I am interested to see the opinions of others as there are rumors of a franchise in response to its great box office appeal. Great question!
