Always! They are my best inspiration and my favorite subjects! I actually just published my first hub about my daughter last night! I have posted several blogs about both her and her brother on my website and I use their comments and ideas for many of my blogs and hubs. I also believe that it is important to write about what you know and what MATTERS. Does anything matter more to you than your kids?

I like writing for children, because they have a huge sense of imagination...which makes creating stories for them fun...so yes.

I have no biological children of my own. However, every child is a spirit worth getting to know. Every child is a miracle worthy of awe and wonder. Every child inspires me because we are connected. They are within me and I am within them. What could be more inspirational than to meet yourself and watch that part of you that is outside of your own being, freely acting in love constrained only by the conditioning of the humans in its environment.
Look inside, see the energy beyond the pupil and you will be inspired beyond imagination!
Peace be with you and with every child!

Thank you for your question! Yes, they certainly do. One of the reasons I write is to leave a legacy for my children, grandchildren and other young people. I plan to do more writing on issues they will face during their lifetime.

In my case I would phrase the question a different way: 'does my writing inspire me to have children?'   If I had kids around, I'm sure I would have to write to escape them at times. 'Don't bother Daddy! He's writing!'  As it is, I would rather enjoy the interruptions that little tots would bring, and I'll bet they'd give me all kinds of ideas, however I may be too full of nonsense already to need anymore such inspiration.

So there's a convoluted answer for you.  Remember to chill before eating. smile

Trust me, having children is not a decision you want to make on a whim.  They are hard work and never grow up!  Conversely, there's nothing like the love you have for a child.  It's the ONLY unconditional love I've found.  Besides, cats that is!  ha!

People and nature inspire me to write.  Nature more than people.  People tend to make me angry or try to make me look outside my rose-colored glasses.  However, I did write a poem years before my son was born, that I've since posted on HP and related to him.  It's called "The Gift of Life".

Do my children inspire me to write? Oh yes. I write to earn a living and my main reason for caring about doing that is to provide for the kids so...yes, they do inspire me to write: every day, whether I feel like it or not. For them, yes.
