Reads other people's hubs. Follow other hubbers. Ask and answer questions. If you want people to readyour work, you should read theirs as well. Hubpages is a community and in my short time here I am learning that being a part of the community is what brings you followers. The best part: You get to virtually "meet" many amazing people and read all kinds of amazing hubs! Good luck!

Though I am still experimenting with that question myself I sit down an create new tags. I write summaries for all of my articles since finding out about the summary box which is by the setting area on the right hand side and have started researching things to figure out what is the next great article i can write.

Although Brtbell has given sufficient answer. Sharing hubs in social sites is also very helpful. As many unknown people may have have an opportunity, who are not hubbers, to read your hubs. Best of luck.

That is very true. Facebook, Stumble upon, Pinterest, Tumblr, Twitter and your own website. Social media is important

Can't answer it better than btrbell. I can add that, when I joined the HubPages group on Facebook, I saw my numbers climb exponentially. Not just for newer hubs either. One of my first hubs is read more than anything else.

In addition to what the others have said,  other ways you can attract readers to hubpages are very simple.

When you write an article, think about people who might be interested in the article and tell them about it.

Tell people that you are a writer, or whatever term you choose to use (author, web content producer) and tell them the web address of your profile.

Print up a few business cards with your profile web address.  This can be done inexpensively.  All you need are sheets of blank business cards.  Each sheet makes about 10 cards.  If you have a computer, word processing program and printer, you can print several of them in just a few minutes and give yourself a professional look if you give them to people.

Tell people that if you like the article to please let others know about it.

Also, the more articles you have, the larger your reader audience will be.
