Death, the intricacies of the human psyche, the soul, anything of a political nature. To name a few.

I like animal stories. The relationship between the owner and their pets make good reading. And I like to read about how people lived back in the 1800s. A hundred years has sure changed the way people live.

Stories with twists that make you want to peep at the last chapter of the book to find out how it would end......but you try not to, so you don't spoil the reading of it. :-)

I love mystery and endings that surprise me, with lots of nefarious characters and plenty of dark steamy sex.  Hey, you asked.

I love kid's themes that have a moral twist and teach a valuable lesson.

Themes, I would love to see in a short story would be something for the reader to think beyond, somewhat of the movie inception, where you can't tell reality from fiction or a theme dealing with romance and relationships.

I generally like human emotion in short stories and fast paced thrillers, at least they're the ones I like to write about!

I love to read about how people come to terms with their impending death or the death of another in their life. People fear it so much, it is hard to talk about, but it is a necessary and worthy discussion.

I wrote a story with that theme called the Locked door, but took it down 'cause I wasn't happy with it. Maybe I should re-post it!
