Where do you draw your inspiration from? Who and/or what is your muse?
What moves you?
What makes you write?
Is it your passion, your calling, your life?
Tell me why you scribble on paper with a pen,
Tell me where it all began.
I have always had a relationship with God, thanks to my parents who raised me in the Catholic Church. By going to private Catholic school, that included studies in my faith, I learned how to communicate with the Lord through prayer, studying scripture and going to fellowship as I got older. As I grew up, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and the experience of fellowship and communication through the Holy Spirit became my inspiration for writing. Life experiences also inspired me, my love for nature, falling in love, being married and divorced three times, and giving birth to my two children.
Writing music with my poetry also enhanced my writing experience. I feel I can express myself better in written word when no one is around to hear my voice.
I am constantly inspired by the world around me and the people in it. Added to my eternal creative compulsion this makes for a highly motivating combination. I am happiest when I am producing something - and so this is what I do.
Well; I'm not much of a fictional writer. My primary subject is history, though I am more interested in interpreting history than just telling it in a properly disciplined way. My inspiration comes from a core of American "revisionist" historians--most of whom are not even history professionals on a campus, but who are no less qualified. I carry the line that there is a "Court History" that has been put forward by apologist scholars from that sect for generations/ I think it is the duty of independent historians to debunk the dry and empty stories by revealing what has not been taught and by properly interpreting what has been taught.
I've been writing poems for decades now, inspired by nature first and foremost. This is raw creative material some of which I've published on HubPages and other sites. Poetry emerges because I want to record what I've seen and experienced when out walking, in the wild, with people and so on. It's a way for me to simplify life, to get it down in black and white and get as close as I can to an ideal. The muse is Mother Nature in all her glory and her dirt!!
My interest in poetry has deepened over time - when I got into teaching I wanted to help others understand the poetic process more - so I wrote more technical hubs on the topic.
Being a drama teacher I also write hubs on acting/performing but find this more of an academic challenge.
Mine started as mental therapy I believe. It felt medicinal when the thoughts in my head became words on paper. I was, and am, always motivated by experiences within my life (as I'm sure everyone is.) When I write now it still is therapeutic, but I continue to do it because books, poetry, writing, etc are some of he few things that still seem to have some form of value in a morally bankrupt world.

Are eternal Heaven and eternal Hell not the human concepts only ?With utmost respect to all religions and their adherents, I compel to think that if these two concepts are excluded from the religious texts, the people find all the religions on the same pedestal and a kind of reciprocity and...
