If we write about many subjects and some unusual ones, is this just poetic license to do so?
Is it writer's license to step out of character sometimes and try a new form of poetry, or subject matter that may be a little unusual?
Very interesting question. But if I recall, poetic license is not adhering to the normal conventions of language, taking something out of context that may not agee with the facts for the sake of creativity, and my favorite: Not following strict rules of grammar or style. I have some real issues writing poetry. I love reading it and I would love to write it beyond a second grade level, but I keep getting stuck and it never conveys what I originally had planned. What do you find helpful? Is it just some people don't have a poetic bone in their body?
