   Does rainy weather inspire you to write more?
   
   Rainy weather seems to spark my desire to write. I think of lots to write about and get much more done than when it's sunny. Creativity and the sun seem to be in competition, at times. Does weather play a role in your creativity?

   Experiencing freak weathers can spark an idea for a story, such as if I'm stranded in a snowstorm or dying from heatstroke out in the desert. But the actual weather has no correlation with the amount of writing I churn out. If I have a good desk and laptop, I'm good to go.

   Weather does play a role for me,  but only in that it inspires scenes and description or twists.... especially if it is weather we have not had in a while.

   Not really. Rainy weather inspires me to grab a book, curl up, and read with a warm cup of tea. Or clean the entire house while listening to music.

   Rainy weather inspires me to sleep. Writing, for me, is an occupation bordering on obsession which cannot wait for inspiration. It's a job, albeit one I have chosen freely for myself and, therefore, not the same as a chore. Still, writing is what I do on a daily basis, and yes, weather can have a wide range of effects on what I write.

   Weather certainly inspires ideas when I write poetry. I'm not sure so much about articles or stories. I suppose rainy days would bring less than cheery thoughts to inspire a sad story and sunshine would be a setting for happy.

      Until lately, we hadn't been getting much rain here, so when it has come it slows me down and I am more apt to stay put and write as opposed to looking out at the sun and wanting to be in it.

   So many various things inspire me to write and I suppose that a rainy day might spark a writer's light bulb moment for me.....but usually, along with the rain, comes a bit of grey skies and remaining inactive, both physically and mentally.
   I'd have to say that I'm more apt to search my library shelves of the hundreds of books I own.....new, old, never read, gifts I've received, favorites.......and find my cozy spot by the fireplace and enjoy my first love......Reading.

   Absolutely not....Rainy weather and spare time encourages me to sleep. No matter how I fight it, I end up sawing logs. I don't think that the weather affects how I write. My schedule dictates it more than anything else.

      I do, at times have to wrestle with curl up or write, but more often something about the mood the weather puts me in inspires writing.

   Weather never plays any role in my creativity. Ideas can come anytime, anywhere- they don't wait until the clouds have covered the Sun.
