   Now that summer is almost here, do you think you will have more time to write or less?
   
   For some people, summer is vacation time. That means they can either write, write, write or slack off and just enjoy. I'm curious to see which way it will go.

   Each of us has 24 hours a day, sixty minutes in an hour, and 60 seconds every minute. If I don't push myself to get it done now whether now is summer or winter, I'll just let the time go by without getting what I need to get done completed. I might take time away from my laptop because all work and no play makes me a dull girl, but writing is something I need to do no matter what the season.

   Summer started here in April! I'll be able to enjoy it until October and to be really honest...
   
   My time here on Hubpages is absolutely influenced by the great climate I live in. I prefer to spend my time outdoors with friends on a terrace. Live from one sunny day untill another here in Valencia, Spain.
   
   I have my moments when I write more than usual or I bring my notebook to a terrace and work on a draft for a Hub. Basically I am not indoors enough to get more out of Hubpages but I like my life as it is and I wouldn't change it for anything else:-)

      I don't blame you! I always have a notebook or a laptop. Often, I don't even open them! Enjoy the weather. I also live in a climate that is already summer and will last most of the year! I moved here because of that!

   I will try to write more this summer. I've missed writing in my free time. One of the reasons I recently joined HubPages is to write more. I used to be a hubber back in 2009 until I gave up on how hard it is to attract a readership and for other reasons as well. I hope everyone writes more during the summer, it will definitely keep me entertained and informed!

   I'm not an outdoor person, nor have I taken a vacation (gone on a trip) in years. That makes me a homebody. Since the summers where I live are hot and humid, with hordes of mosquitoes, I'm more likely to stay indoors out of the sun except for very brief excursions outside (mostly in the early morning).  My writing output depends mainly on my energy level and how I feel physically, which can be affected by the heat and humidity. Here's hoping for a mild summer! I will certainly write as much as I am able to do all year round.

      I do hope you feel well. It's not fun when it is humid and buggy. We don't have too much humidity but our temps get between 105 and 115 for about 2 months. I find that very draining.To a mild summer and many more hubs!

   The seasons don't make the difference for me.  For me it's whether I have other "real work" projects, how many, and how much time I have between them.  It's also whether I've been "running in high-gear" for quite awhile and then make it a point to (and have the opportunity/"luxury" to either run in "low-gear" (or even stop completely) for awhile.  I seem to be sensing a "high-gear" phase, beginning around in the middle of June, so I'm thinking that Summer will be more productive than "slack-off" this year.

      I totsally understand. I would love nothing more than to sit here and write but, quite often "real life" gets in the way, like: work, kids, pets, bills, etc.! Good luck! I hope it is productive.

   I tend to write less in the summer because I'm busy in my yard or doing other things outside. I usually use cool mornings or rainy days to do any writing. I definetely get a lot more writing done in the cold months.

      Because it gets so hot here, I tend to do the opposite. I do try to get some things done when I am outside, too. I  take pictures everywhere I go so I can write a hub about it! I also carry my notebook and jot down any thoughts! Enjoy your summer!

   Writing is not seasonal work, nor is it climate related. One of the major benefits of writing is being master of my own domain and calendar. I can take a break whenever I've a mind to.

      I guess you mean to say it is not clmate related to YOU. You state this as if this applies to any writer or am I wrong? To me it IS climate related next to a number of other facts:-)

    Aaahh.....great question...Summer is probably the only season where I get all my ideas directly from life . I write it just as I see it...without giving much thought . Perhaps that is because it is the only season where most people are at their most vunerable... " naked "...that is to say they wear less clothes so less is hidden...you can tell a lot by the way people dress in hot humid  weather....heh heh
    The other seasons my creative juices take what I see, hear,and  experience and create from them...as I perceive from my mind....usually with an added twist....
    I write more in Summer..however..publish more in other months , especially Fall....
    By the way I just recently took the same picture of my feet...minus the " flips "
    guess it's that " great minds " think alike syndrome....have a great Summer .....

       See? I knew we were kindred spirits! I actually took that picture when I finally got out of my boot (broken foot) and I used it to post on FaceBook! I agree, so many stimulants in the summer, easier to publish in the winter! Take care!

    I  can still make time to write, no vacation time for me just writing time and I enjoy what I do a few hour daily and I am free of letting out my thoughts. My break is whenever i would like to

    I;m already in a 3 week vacation, so it's clearly not a great time to be productive
    
    I do try to work, when I have the time (not right now, it's a vacation), but during the summer. With some better planning and a good focus you can still do a lot of work and not miss out the great days of summer

    I will need to discipline myself to write over the summer.  Summer time means outdoor time...gardening, pool, hanging out at night watching the hummingbirds, that kind of stuff.  Don't get me wrong, I love my writing, but oh the call of the outdoors!
