Do you have experience in getting your ebook into libraries?

Libraries are now lending ebooks.  If you have had success in getting your ebook into libraries, what is that process?  Do you have resources to contact?  Where does a person with a self-published ebook begin?  Is it even possible to get a self-published ebook into libraries.

It's probably a good idea to ask a Librarian about that question. But I do know that you can get your eBook on Amazon.

Ann810, thanks.  My book is on Amazon for Kindle, Barnes and Noble for Nook, Apple for ipad, but I don't know how to approach libraries, but you're right - the library would be the logical place to go!  smile

Yes, I do, but the strange thing is that I was not aware of it.
I published an eBook through Smashwords and after a while sold a very, very few copies on Amazon.  But about a month ago, I was just fiddling around with the Internet (as one does) and found that my brilliant bit  of literature (Yeah!   Whatever!) was available in a library somewhere and also a free gift , I think, in the same place... or should I say, "On the same site"?
I can't even  remember where it is that I stumbled upon it, but as I have somewhat  given up thinking  I will be the next Charles Hemingway, or Ernest Dickens, I just let it slide.
    He ho!

You can request your local Library to carry your book. If you have a reader that is wanting to get it from their library to see if they like it before adding it to their home library they just have to request their local library to order it. Most library will order a book that is requested.

Thanks Art in the Words - Is this advice for both for ebooks and print books?
