    A place for everything and everything in its place.

    It will all come out in the wash.

      Now if only I could learn the first one and take it to heart...

      I love the second one, too. In my case, it comes out in the wash as an illegible, frayed piece of paper half the time. LOL Thanks for these, CraftytotheCore!

    One in Yorkshire dialect: 'Theer's nowt so queer as folk!' ('There's nought/nothing as weird as people');
    'a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush';
    'there's more than chickens that wears feathers' (something to do with a visit to a strip club);
    'a hearse is for life, not just a funeral';
    'our routes pass your branches' (used by London Transport buses in the 1970's and 1980's to attract advertising from stores in the West End).
    Is this enough? I'd have to get out my 'phrase shovel' for more.

      Just thought of another one or two: "A watched kettle never boils", "Don't count your chickens before they're hatched".
      Owzat!

      Awesome! These are all great, alancaster149! I'd only heard "A bird in the hand..." the others are new to me. Thanks!

    I like this one so much: After all is said and done; more is said than done!

    Another one is: 3 people can keep a secret; if 2 are dead!

    And this one is from Socrates himself: “Wisdom is knowing how little we know."
