For journaling would you recommend a Moleskine or another paper or electronic equivalent?
I am mixed. I used for journaling several methods through life. I used a tape recorder for journaling and professional notations. I use to keep a spiral notebook in a satchel for awhile, a briefcase, and just loose in the car.
Today, I journal more from remembering the day at the time of late evening or early AM with a PC folder and word documents. I usually string a document for a week's time period. I begin by month date rather than as a week to week transition.
I prefer electronic because with honesty I cannot read my own handwriting these days. Journal entries can be almost anything too - notes, introspection, reflection, prose, poetry, and documentation. It varies with mood, emotions, and happiness as variables.
Thanks for your elaborate answer. That handwriting bit sounds familiar. It may become a thing of the past. I do most of mine electronically too. Have a paper one available as sometime I enjoy brainstorming with it.
I think it depends on if you like writing or prefer to type and how long you want it to last. If you think your family will save it and pass it along to the next generations, electronic is now the way to go. The drawback is we don't know where technology will be even a few years from now and whether or not we'll be able to retrieve what we've saved on a disk or other device. If you're going to write it on paper, I'd suggest a notebook with acid free paper.
Some good points here. As far as technology goes what is the standard today can be obsolete in the (near) future. Paper has been around for ages. But i agree with you the choice depends for a large part on how long you want it to last. Thanks!

Is there anything nicer to write on than a Moleskine reporters' notebook, A5 size?I keep this notebook with me for jotting down ideas, and make sure to write on both sides of the paper because they're expensive! This is by far the nicest paper I have enjoyed scribbling on. But there are...

Do you use pen/pencil and paper or an electronic device to jot notes?I still use writing tablets, little note pads, post-its, pens and pencils to jot things down. I sometimes use the sticky notes on my desk/lap tops for reminders. What do you use?
