dohn - it is so nice to hear from you, been a long time. Your comment does indeed answer the question quite nicely and well thought out. Thank you very much. I agree with all you wrote.
Yes, it has been a long time! Yes, I've been missing in action for ages, but have not forgotten everyone that's still here. It's kind of like coming home...I'm happy to have contributed!

Me, too, Keith. I often wonder how Gary Larsen came up with some of those comic sayings or just a self explanatory picture. One of my favorite was the cow in a "STAMPEDE" wearing a shower cap. And Albert the bull bbq-ing hamburgers.
I used to have a Far Side T-shirt of the two bears, viewed through a hunter's gun sight... the bear on the right was grinning and pointing to his friend as if to say "Shoot him! Shoot him!"
Gosh, I wish I had the books my brother does - he must have every issue. I remember the two bears one. I go to Bing images to view the cartoons there. So much fun!

Hi Jodah. I just saw a Far Side comic - 2 scientists in the lab, one gently pounding nails in a bomb cap and the other behind him with a blown up paper bag he is ready to pop. Far Side is great when one needs to just bellow out a laugh. Thanks Jodah

Hi Rochelle. What fun that would be to spend time there going over all the cartoons. Bet there was a lot of laughter! Thanks for sharing that with us.

Yes, it was sad, Will. Only three of us got the desk calendars every Christmas. Rest of the family just could not get the humor. Another fav was Calvin and Hobbs. Thanks for participating, Will.
